Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using our services.

Services Description

Desjardins Mobile provides:

• Furniture restoration services for antique and damaged pieces
• Custom woodturning and bespoke furniture creation
• Woodworking apprenticeship training programmes
• Consultation services related to Irish hardwood furniture

All services are subject to availability and acceptance of project proposals.

Project Proposals and Acceptance

Initial inquiries do not constitute a binding agreement. We will provide a written proposal outlining scope of work, timeline, and pricing. A binding contract exists only when both parties sign a written agreement and any required deposit is received.

Pricing and Payment

Project pricing is provided in written proposals. Prices are valid for 30 days from proposal date unless otherwise stated. Payment terms will be specified in project agreements and typically include:

• Deposit payment upon agreement acceptance
• Progress payments for longer projects
• Final payment upon completion

Prices may be adjusted if project scope changes or unforeseen issues are discovered during restoration work. Such changes will be communicated and approved before proceeding.

Project Timelines

Timeline estimates are provided in good faith based on our experience. Actual completion times may vary due to wood availability, drying times, unforeseen structural issues, or other factors beyond our control. We will communicate any significant delays promptly.

Materials and Workmanship

We use Irish hardwoods sourced from reputable suppliers. Wood is a natural material with inherent variations in grain, color, and character. These variations are not defects but natural characteristics that make each piece unique.

Our work is performed using traditional techniques and modern tools as appropriate. We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

• Provide accurate information about furniture condition and history
• Make timely decisions when approvals are required
• Make payments according to agreed terms
• Arrange pickup or delivery as specified in agreements
• Notify us of any concerns promptly

Restoration Work Limitations

Restoration of antique furniture involves inherent risks. We cannot guarantee that all damage can be repaired or that hidden issues will not be discovered. We will inform you of any significant findings and discuss options before proceeding with additional work.

Some damage may be irreversible, and some structural issues may limit how pieces can be used after restoration. We will provide honest assessments of what is achievable.

Cancellation and Refunds

Project cancellation terms will be specified in individual agreements. Generally:

• Cancellation before work begins may result in loss of deposit to cover administrative costs
• Cancellation after work has commenced will require payment for work completed and materials purchased
• Custom pieces in progress cannot be refunded as they are built to your specifications

Liability Limitations

We take reasonable care with furniture in our possession. However, we are not liable for:

• Pre-existing damage not disclosed or discovered during initial assessment
• Natural characteristics of wood including movement, checking, or color variation
• Damage occurring after delivery to client
• Consequential damages beyond the value of our services

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

Intellectual Property

Custom designs created for your project remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. You receive the physical piece and the right to use it, but we retain rights to the design for portfolio use and future similar commissions.

Apprenticeship Terms

Apprenticeship programme participants agree to:

• Commit to the full programme duration
• Follow workshop safety protocols at all times
• Respect tools, materials, and workspace
• Accept that skill development requires time and practice

We reserve the right to dismiss participants who violate safety rules or demonstrate behavior incompatible with workshop operations.

Website Use
